Indian, Israeli Air Force chiefs meet

NEW DELHI: Israeli Air and Space Forces chief Major. Gen. Amir Eshel called on IAF chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha here on Monday, an official statement said.

Noting India-Israel relations have grown steadily, it said in recent years, their defence co-operation has grown into "multifaceted defence level exchanges in diverse areas of defence co-operation".

"On its part, Israel views India as a strategic ally and has displayed willingness to co-operate on all fronts," it said.

It added that the Indo-Israel defence relations comprise mainly of purchase of military equipment, defence ministry level dialogue, technology collaboration and service to service defence co-operation through service level staff talks

The statement added that India-Israel defence co-operation has improved rapidly in the last few years with Israel providing state-of-the-art military hardware to India at reasonable cost.
